Here you can find links to other sites including affiliates, resources, and some of my favorite sites. If you see your site listed here and would like me to either update or remove your information/url, please e-mail me at fan.casefiles[at]gmail.com.

Affiliation Requirements

  1. I only want to affiliate with fanart sites. I've made exceptions in the past, but I'm only accepting art sites from now on. I'll accept video sites only if the fanart is very prominent as well. And I mean big art like blends, large banners and wallpapers. Icon sites are okay, if they are meant to be primarily icon portfolios.
  2. I'm not limiting my affiliates to English sites. But if your site is not in English, I have to be able to find updates/art/recent additions easily. And if your site is in English, I expect full words and sentences and not text language. Sure, I'll throw in an LOL or OMG somewhere, but I can't read sites in full on netspeak. It just annoys me too much. I don't mind swearing. I do it all the time, in regular conversation. It's not exactly a requirement, but cutting back on the swear words would be nice. I'm completely fine with it in your art, though, unless it's just that offensive.
  3. We all have lives. I understand that some people don't have the time to crank out so many pieces a month. So, I'm not asking for regular updates. I do want to know you're alive though. And if you are not updating very often, I at least hope there's enough content to keep me coming back to your site. I mean, if you have a new site and then ignore it for a couple months, I'm not going to think you're putting much work into it.
  4. Your site has to be online, and presentable. I don't want to affiliate with a site half made up of dead links.
  5. You don't have to be the best coder ever. But your site does have to be viewable and functional in Firefox. Unless it's just that great that I'd be willing to open up IE for it. But I would only do that for sites that I KNOW are worth it. If you're requesting affiliation, I probably won't accept if it's not accessible.
  6. Original content is a must. I want to see your own art, not somebody else's art or a knock off of somebody else's art. You don't have to offer a downloads/goodies section, but if you do, I want to see original media. I'll accept wallpaper archives, as long as all the artists archived have given permission for their work to be displayed.
  7. I do not want to affiliate with someone who (or whose site) insults or offends me personally. Lighthearted, good-natured mocking, I can appreciate for the humor.
  8. I know that fanartists are always inspired by others, and that shows through the art. But I take theft seriously. I can't force you to not steal art, but I can decide not to affiliate with you. Same goes with layouts and coding. I put a lot of work into coding my site (sometimes more than I work on my art), and I know other people do the same. I don't care if you use my coding if you credit me, as I do put a lot of work into it. If I feel like you're taking credit for somebody else's work, I will not affiliate with you.
  9. Dedication is extremely important. I know that a lot of fanartists feel like their work could be better somehow, but I see so many people say they hate so many of their piece. It really makes me wonder why you're making and posting your art if you dislike it so much. I want a positive environment that shows your love for making fanart!
