So, I've never done a couple-centric fanmix before. So this might be a little awkward. Or different. IDK. It was originally meant to be a ficmix, but I chickened out of the fic part. At least I finally got off my lazy ass and finished the art. ANYWAY, I love Kate and Garrett. They bring a really refreshing kind of romance to the series. I thought I could go for something a little more daring. Or at least funkier with them. Some songs I made me think KATE! Some GARRETT! Some for both. And some of them might have just made me think of them, even if the lyrics are different. They just have that feel, you know?

Sorry for generic(ish) lyrics. It's just one of those songs that just gives me a Garrett kinda vibe. Plus, it's chock full o' drug use (the ever popular human blood is a drug metaphor) and relatable colors...

IDK. It's cute, but not too cutesy. I had a more eloquent reasoning for this song. Just...kind of fun, not too angsty, but a bit grown up?

Don't take the rest of the lyrics too literally? The song as whole works for me, because Kate and Garrett can learn something from one another...

They're both starting something new together. Doubly in Garrett's case, if he's possibly looking into vegetarianism. He's looking for some kind of fulfillment, the happiness that the Veg!clans find together.

LOL. I used Muse. Oh my God. To be fair, I really wanted to use Nina Simone, as her "Feeling Good" is one of my favorite songs ever. But admittedly, Muse does fit the tone better. Plus, this version (not the album one) has the schizo piano thing going on.

*Um, I was so sure I'd end up with an Oasis song here. They totally strike me as Garrett. In so many ways. Everything I tried just...didn't fit right for me.

*OMG WUT? No Rilo, No Metric. And I always think both bands are perfect for the blonder Twilight characters...

*This mix is chock full o' covers. I like covers.

*Do I need new music or what? I attribute using a lot of similar artists in my fanmixes to the characters having some similarities (though still unique.) But really...I probably just have a complex about pimping out the same people XD

*I'm completely schizo. Yes, there are 5 different people portraying two characters on the cover art.
